So far I've given two of these jar openers as gifts, and I received rave reviews and much appreciation.

One person easily opened a split of champagne she'd been given as a gift and the other opened a big jar of pickles that he had purchased months before but could never get opened. So, this jar opener has a range of uses.

And it looks great. So many of the other openers I had looked at were made of cheap plastic in gaudy colors. This one feels much more substantive -- as if it was much more expensive. But in fact, it doesn't cost much more than $10.
